Led by Rudolph Hyde, a DI Security Officer Instructor certified by the Florida Division of Licensing, this course ensures a high-quality learning experience aligned with state standards.
- Convenience: Avoid the hassle of traveling to an in-person location. Participate online using a computer, laptop, or tablet (phones are not permitted for this training).
- Flexible Schedule: Classes run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, on scheduled dates.
- Comprehensive Curriculum: Covers everything needed to prepare for the state licensing test.

Your success in this course depends on your active engagement.
- Participation: Treat this course as if it were in-person, with consistent attendance and focus.
- Verification: To maintain course integrity, you’ll periodically verify your identity.
- Missed Classes: Makeup sessions will be arranged if you miss a class.
The course duration depends on your ability to complete all required coursework, ensuring your thoroughly prepared.
After Completion
Once you’ve successfully completed the 42-hour course:
- Final Test: You will take a 170-question exam. A passing score of 70% is required.
- Certificates: Receive a Certificate of Completion from Hyde’s Academy and the Florida Division of Licensing.
To obtain your Florida Security License:
- Submit your certification to the Florida Division of Licensing.
- chedule an in-person appointment by calling the division.
- Pay the state fee of $97.75 (not included in the course fee).
